A sweet and simple Christmas story, it mirrors many of the events of the original Christmas story. A heavily pregnant woman arrives in Cedar Cove looking for the father of her unborn child. There is no room for her to stay the night so she ends up in a family's apartment which is located over their barn - which is housing all the animals from their church's live nativity scene which concluded the evening before. The woman's brothers (the three Wyse men) follow her to Cedar Cove concerned for her safety.

A quick, easy read that is great for the holiday season. Sweet and light are the best words to describe this short and simple book. It may to be sugary for some, but I think most people who purchase Christmas books will find it enjoyable.

l have read all of th cedar cove series before it became a t.v. series, I still enjoy reading Debbie Macomber's books. I enjoyed this book because it reminded me back when I was a young person n th 50's and 60's when we help strangers & became long life friends.
As with all of the Cedar Cove novels this one was a winner. I felt just at home as Mary Jo in Cedar Cove. I can only imagine the joy all of these people felt as they celebrated this very special Christmas. I always look forward to OPENING the next book in this series.
What is Christmas without a christmas book from Debbie Macomber. I have been reading her Cedar Cove series and when I saw this one I had to buy it. Loved it! Once you start reading you can't put it down. This book only has 10 chapters so you can read it in one sitting. The story is an old one. It is taken from the Nativity story but set in modern times. It incorporates some of the everyday citizens who live in Cedar Cove and introduces new characters. You'll love this book.
Good story following tne characters that live in Cedar Cove and the characters that come there and become part of the Cedar Cove saga.
Not much to say, it's Debbie Macomber always a must read. She is one of the best story tellers.😀 woohoo
This book was disappointing for a couple reasons. The Wyse brothers were portrayed as The Three Stooges and their sister not so bright. As you read the next book in the series, these characters are given more depth and character. This book also irritated me because the price was the same for all the other books in the series but nearly half the chapters. This book left me feeling ripped off. If you are reading this series and are on a budget, this book can be skipped.
Short Story of Mack and Mary No about the birth of Noelle. Hard to know when this story should have been read. As I knew some of the story from reading the cedar cove series.
